I was excited to (come here and) learn this system, learn this culture, be a contributing factor on a team that’s really on the rise.” Musgrave will have the opportunity to work with Nick Foles, Mark Sanchez, Matt Barkley and G.J. Kinne." And that dude wishes he had my hair. Like Cutz pointed out, there's not much a QB coach can do with Foles because he's already solid, it's just development and experience from here on out. RE: NFL 2014 - Duchess - 06-24-2014 Hehehehe RE: NFL 2014 - Cutz - 06-24-2014 (06-24-2014, 04:04 PM)Blindgreed1 Wrote:I really paint Foles as a young Brady. A mid round pick nobody expected terribly much from, comes in and performs for no specific reason. Tommy won much more in a much shorter time span, which is why he's the golden child whereas people call Foles a fluke, but it's like handing Musgrave the keys to a Ferrari and saying "now just don't scratch it."(06-24-2014, 02:18 PM)Duchess Wrote:Hell no it can't be considered a fluke and I think Musgrave will be working more with Barkley and Sanchez than he will with Foles. RE: NFL 2014 - Midwest Spy - 06-24-2014 People are sniffing the glue again. Nick Foles is a nice story.... so far. And, the Eagles landed Bill Musgrave? That's who I just suffered through the last 3 seasons with. His entire playbook could fit on the back of a book of matches. Hope it works out. Chip Kelly will continue to draw up the playbook. I trusted Andy as a QB coach tho... that dude knows talent when he sees it I think. So I thought Foles was a good pick at the time. Given he's not with the Vikings anymore I'm led to believe he failed there so I don't want him trying to fix or change Nick, he's not broken. RE: NFL 2014 - Cutz - 06-24-2014 You're reading too much into it Duch. Even assuming he's to blame for Minnesota's woes, there's plenty of coaches that've been promoted above their ability and return to their old responsibilities. He's here to develop Barkley and Sanchez for their roles as a backup, should we need one. Don't forget Sproles was signed on and he is a great backfield blocker against the pass rush, and the perfect release valve should protection break down. BTW, open training camp days were announced today. 2 at the Linc (7/28 and 8/3) and one at Franklin field (8/10). It's funny to me now but when Shady first came I didn't like him even a little bit, I knew he was there to be groomed for Brian's job and now I wear his number. I got an alert on my phone when open practice dates were announced. I'm going to shoot for the 28th. It won't be long now! I was close enough I could have leaned over the wall and blew in Shady's ear and I got DeSean to look at me so I could snap a pic too. I took many. RE: NFL 2014 - Duchess - 06-25-2014 Last year - RE: NFL 2014 - Duchess - 07-01-2014 2013: Chip Kelly's offense won't work in the NFL. 2014: Every team in the NFL is experimenting with an extremely fast paced offense. That shit was pissing me off last year but it's really difficult to hurl accusations when one doesn't know for sure. So when you see those guys out there doing that you can bet your ass Duchess is cussing a blue streak. RE: NFL 2014 - Duchess - 07-01-2014 (07-01-2014, 03:04 PM)Blindgreed1 Wrote: Good call!
