We (NH) can buy wine & beer at grocery stores, convenience stores, gas stations & walmart, but hard liquor can only be gotten from a state liquor store. Maine has 'authorized' liquor purchasing stations (otherwise known as Cumberland Farms gas station. Where I grew up in Mass, they had privately owned, state approved liquor stores, I'm not sure if they are still privately owned, or state run now, though

That's how it is where I come from too. I've gotten plenty of beer at convenience stores as a young person.

Same here as well.
Liquor stores are separate from grocery stores.

It's a sunny day here and going to be in the low 80's on this Christmas day!
(We're having our out of state daughter, grandson, & SIL and a few out of town friends coming over here for Christmas dinner today! Yeah, Lots to do, gotta get going!)

I used to go quite a bit 7-8 years ago when my sister lived around here. She would drive like a nutcase I was cautious and loved going to the bonfires in the middle of the woods.
