"you don't even have to be smart to get away with a crime. Just silent."

that about sums it up.

Family Of Celina Cass Meets With Investigators
Family Briefed By Investigators On Thursday

COLEBROOK, N.H --

Interview With Celina's Mom
The mother and sister of an 11-year-old girl Celina Cass, whose body was recovered from the Connecticut River, have met with investigators for two hours, but have declined to say anything publicly.

Louisa Cass told The Associated Press she had no comment after leaving the Coos County attorney's office in Lancaster on Thursday afternoon.

Timeline: The Celina Cass Investigation

Her daughter, Celina Cass, was last seen alive at her West Stewartstown home July 25. Her body was recovered a week later.

Police haven't said how Celina died, but her death is considered suspicious. A reward has been offered for information leading to an arrest.

Louisa Cass was accompanied Thursday by a friend and her 13-year-old daughter, who was clutching a stuffed panda bear.

BREAKING NEWS

FINALLY

now there should be movement in case.

WMUR
CONCORD, N.H. -- Investigators have ruled the death of a West Stewartstown girl a homicide, but they have not disclosed the cause of death.

Celina Cass, 11, was reported missing on July 25, and her body was found in the Connecticut River a week later. An autopsy was inconclusive, and investigators said they were awaiting toxicology results.

The attorney general's office said Thursday that Celina's death was a homicide, but it said that although a cause of death was determined, it was not being released at this time. It said releasing the cause of death could negatively affect the investigation.

No suspects have been named in the girl's death. Her family said they had sent her to bed the night before she was reported missing, but she was gone the next day.

So maybe the two stories are tied together? I hope they got the tox results back, and that's what Louisa and her other daughter were questioned about.

Union Leader

WEST STEWARTSTOWN - After further investigation and receiving toxicology results, Deputy Chief Medical Examiner Jennie V. Duval, M.D., has ruled Celina Cass's manner of death to be a homicide.

While Dr. Duval also has determined the cause of death of Celina Cass, that result is not being made public at this juncture, according to the Attorney General's Office.

"The premature public disclosure of Cass's cause of death could have an impact on the integrity of the investigation in a negative manner," authorities said. "The investigation into the facts and circumstances of Celina Cass's murder remains active."

Celina Cass' grandmother told the New Hampshire Union Leader she was notified the 11-year-old girl's death will now officially be classified a homicide.

Celina's body was found in the Connecticut River not far from her West Stewartstown home on Aug. 1, the culmination of a massive weeklong search. Officials have insisted since that Celina's death was "suspicious."

Celina's grandmother, Marcia Laro of Columbia, said the Attorney General's Office called Thursday at about 11 a.m. to tell them Celina's death is now definitely a homicide.

Laro said there was no indication that the state is any closer to making an arrest in Celina's death.

"They did call from the Attorney General's Office and say they do have the autopsy back and it is definitely a homicide," Laro said Thursday afternoon.

Thanks for the update LC! I have been traveling on business all week and haven't had time to read any news.

So now, what do you think was in the toxicology report to make LE come to the determination that it was homicide?

Interview with Luisa Noyes's friend/employer. A couple of new pieces of information and/or clarifications pasted below.

Luisia hasn't filed for divorce only because she cannot afford the court fees, said the woman's friend and employer, Jeannine Brady.

Brady said she saw Noyes smash a picture of Celina with his fist at a hotel in Canaan, Vt., where the family was staying while police searched their Stewartstown apartment.

Luisia and Kayla wear crosses containing some of Celina's ashes; the rest of the ashes are buried with her maternal grandmother in Groveton. They have moved to an apartment in Vermont, not far from where Kayla attends school in Canaan. Like everyone else who knew Celina, they wait for answers.

It appears Wendall has moved back to W Stewartstown, and only 100' from the front door of the local school in Canaan, VT. From what i understand the teachers at the school were shown his picture today to assure all could recognize him. He was also seen this morning walking the local streets amoungst the kids walking to school. How bond is that!!!
The parents were NOT informed of his presence in town.

He is a sick bastard, and all locals should have been warned of his returning to town.
You will never convince me of his innocence, or that his wacko mother doesn't know what's going on....

This pretty much sums up my opinion on the case. Tragic.

RE: Celina Cass, 11. N.H. deceased - Lady Cop - 10-04-2011

Sassy i'd be interested in the source for that info. and why the parents in town should be notified of his presence. i believe he is the only male in his family who is NOT a registered sex offender.
i do think he's a sicko, but there is no law requiring notification of where he lives or photos shown to teachers.

RE: Celina Cass, 11. N.H. deceased - Harvest Moon - 10-04-2011

I checked around FB and did not see any rumors about WN being back in W Stewartstown. Sassy, I would also be interested in learning your source and why they would show his picture to the teachers.

LC, Aren't there some laws about things like that? Slander? Can the school officials just say, so and so is a risk to children, here is his picture, without some form of proof that he is a threat?

RE: Celina Cass, 11. N.H. deceased - Lady Cop - 10-04-2011

that's a civil matter.
i have my doubts about the "report/rumor".

RE: Celina Cass, 11. N.H. deceased - Sassy Siamese - 10-04-2011

He's definitely in town, rented a room at the local motel in town, which is right beside the school. Everyone in town is upset with the motel owners, who also own the restaurant across the street. Of course they are the same owners that opened a liquor store at the same motel, again only 100' from the school. He's not staying with his Mom. The teachers were shown his picture and told to report it to the office if he is seen on school grounds. This info came directly from one of the teachers. Canaan school does not have a lock-down policy in place...yet.
It's a small town, it didn't take long for word to get out among the parents anyway. I certainly wouldn't want my young kids walking to school and passing him on the sidewalk!!! Sick prick!! I just think he is either really, really bold, or really, really stupid to walk around this town!!!

RE: Celina Cass, 11. N.H. deceased - Lady Cop - 10-04-2011

so there was nothing done in an official capacity, which is what i took the post to indicate.
he may be a total loon, but so far he's a free citizen.

Celina's Stepfather: 'I Had Nothing To Do With It'
Noyes Describes Night Girl Last Seen Alive

http://www.wmur.com/news/29453906/detail.html

WEST STEWARTSTOWN, N.H. -- On Aug. 1, the body of 11-year-old Celina Cass was pulled out of the Connecticut River, a week to the day after her stepfather, Wendell Noyes, 48, called his new wife at work to tell her she was missing.

"When I got up that morning, there was, well, she usually sleeps on the couch," said Wendell Noyes in an exclusive interview with News 9.

Noyes and Luisia Cass were married in October 2010 and moved into a rental duplex on Washington Street in West Stewartstown. The night that Celina disappeared, Noyes said, he went to bed around 9 p.m. with Luisia Cass. His mother was also staying at the house, and he said he saw Celina on the family computer before he went upstairs.

"We left the door unlocked that night for somebody else to pop in. And, I don't know," Noyes told WMUR's Amy Coveno.

Officials seized Noyes' truck, cellphone and computer as evidence in the ongoing investigation. Noyes now lives alone, confirming that his wife has asked him to stay away. Noyes still wears his wedding ring and said he still cares for Luisia Cass.

"I had nothing to do with it. We left the door unlocked, and somebody else was in the apartment after we went upstairs," Noyes said on Monday.

Officials said autopsy results did not offer conclusive information as to how Celina died. Toxicology results remain sealed. No arrests have been made or people of interest identified in the case.

There is a video interview that goes with the above story, but I am not tech savvy enough to post a video from a news source.

Wendall looks like he's aged 20 years.

thanks, interesting to observe him.

RE: Celina Cass, 11. N.H. deceased - Harvest Moon - 10-12-2011

Very interesting to watch. The news report does confirm that WN has been back in the area for about 10 days. He says that he went to bed with LN that night and they left the door unlocked because "somebody" was coming over. Later he says that KM was the last one up and that CC was sleeping on the couch.

There is part of the video where WN is obviously talking but they have blanked out the voice and did a voice over during editing. I wonder if he gave some information that LE don't want the public to know.

WN is obviously agitated and shows signs (IMO) of his mental illness. It would be interesting to get a psychiatrist's opinion on his words and actions.

AG hopes interview with Celina Cass’ stepdad sparks leads

The head of the murder probe in the Celina Cass case admitted authorities lack the proof they need to haul in a suspect or suspects, but she’s hopeful a television interview given by the 11-year-old girl’s thus-far-silent stepfather will shake loose some new leads.

“We have insufficient evidence to charge any person or persons in the death of Celina,” New Hampshire Assistant Attorney General Jane Young said yesterday. “We are working this case. We are still working this case. I have talked to the investigators four or five times today.”

RE: Celina Cass, 11. N.H. deceased - Lady Cop - 10-14-2011

Boston Herald this morning:

COLEBROOK, N.H. — Celina Cass’ heartbroken mother is disputing her estranged husband’s account of the night the slain 11-year-old vanished, saying he wasn’t in bed early but instead was up drinking with friends at their West Stewartstown home.

“He was visiting on the porch with two friends. They were drinking on the porch. They were socializing,” Louisia Noyes said yesterday of Celina’s stepfather, Wendell Noyes. Louisia Noyes told a TV interviewer last month that she and her husband had split up since Celina’s killing.

Wendell Noyes — who has not been identified as a suspect in the homicide probe — said in his earlier TV interview he had nothing to do with Celina’s murder and believed an intruder was to blame.

Spotted yesterday at the family’s home, Wendell Noyes responded to a reporter’s questions saying: “I’m just waiting. I’m just waiting. I’m just doing what I’m supposed to be doing.”

Granite State investigators declined comment last night, but they told the Herald this week they don’t have enough evidence to make an arrest. They also urged anyone with information about the case to come forward, even if they think it’s only a small detail.

Yesterday, Louisia Noyes — who met with investigators last month on the day investigators determined Celina was killed — expressed a mother’s anger about her daughter’s unsolved slaying.

“It’s frustrating, haunting and unbearable,” she said. “I’m very frustrated because I don’t get any answers for my daughter’s murder.”

Wendell Noyes’ truck was one of two seized in the investigation. The other belonged to Kevin Mullaney, who was living with the family at the time of Celina’s death, the son of Louisia Noyes’ former boyfriend. Mullaney’s truck was released, Louisia Noyes said.

Mullaney declined to speak to a reporter yesterday, even as friends and family urged him to do so. Mullaney’s father said authorities have urged his son not to speak with media.

Louisia Noyes said Mullaney has cooperated with police. “He’s done a polygraph. He’s been strip-searched,” she said.

In her first sit-down interview since authorities determined Celina was killed, Louisia Noyes also revealed the girl’s body was in such a poor state that police would not allow her to see it — even after a funeral director’s restorative efforts.

Noyes also said police declined to show her the blanket found around Celina when police pulled her from the Connecticut River near her home Aug. 1.

“I asked if I could ID the blanket and see if it came from my house. They would only let me ID her pajama bottoms and her underwear,” she said.

There was no sign of a struggle in her home, she said, and if there was one, she didn’t hear it from her bedroom.

“I don’t know what happened,” she said. “If only I hadn’t had the fan or the TV on, I would have heard something.”

“I want justice and I want my baby back,” she said. “I want the person who did this to die. Someone threw her away like a piece of trash.”
