I know right? My teenager went to a farm that looks after rejected animals for a school excursion last week. She loved it. There was also wildlife there. But there were camels, and so many dogs, some had been mistreated with physical disabilities. My dogs are so spoiled and so loved it breaks my heart. They rely on volunteers and community donations to look after them. I would love to even donate big money to help them.

Well...a hurricane is coming. *sigh* I don't exactly have my head in the sand, I'm aware, but I can't listen to anything about it or read about it because everyone has to be so goddamn dramatic and that only serves to scare the crap out of me.

Two days ago, it was 90 degrees around here and wearing shorts out there, yesterday and today it was 44 in the
mornings, and mid 50's the rest of the day wearing a coat!

The worst storm I was ever in was when I was in the north Atlantic and was told to secure a flag line on the starboard side near the fantail of the ship. I went out grabbed the line and when I looked up there was a 40 ft wave above me we were in the hallow of a wave and it looked huge. I ran inside and rolled the latch and was not sure if I had pissed myself or was just wet from the rain.
