Babies smell so nice, like Downy & baby wash. She's lovely, F U.

She looks very aware for a newborn.

Thanks Duch.

Yes User she seams very aware for a newborn. In fact I think she was aware before she was born. This is the only child that I have ever seen stick its tongue out at the ultrasound camera.

I remember being massively obsessed with the wellfare of my newborn daughter its a precious time and you feel so naturally protective of them.

Me and my wife would do anything to protect her and that's the case today although we recognise the need to let go.

Yeah, checking on them every 2 minutes to make sure they're still breathing while trying not to wake them up at the same time gets old after a while.

I'll let go when I'm dead.

RE: Can you SmeeeeeeeeeeLL ... - sally - 05-22-2013

I worry so much about my kids it drives me to the brink of insanity. Every time my older kids leave I think of the most horrible scenarios that could happen and I have to talk myself out of thinking that way, I don't know why I do that, but I hate it. Then there is the two year old that I have to do it all over with again.

Beautiful little girl, F.U. !!

I've said it before.

There's nothing like having a little girl around the house!

I agree user. My children are 30 & 28 now and I still cant let go. I check on them almost every day. Maybe not as much as I did when they were children. I remember the times where the OL and I could not go out for a night on the town without calling home and talking to the babysitter ever couple hours to check on them. Now its more of a, are you doing OK, do you need anything, Oh your car broke down well here is one of mine until I get yours fixed, kinda thing.
Even though they both have familys of their own now they still come home to ask for advice, or to ask for help when needed. In fact they don't have very far to go to get home as they live within 2 miles of my house.

*sniff*

I'm 39 and my Mom is the same way, she won't let go. After reading this post I feel/look like an asshole for not helping out my Mom with chores/errands more.
