It can happen in a heartbeat. One of my little brothers, probably about 4 at the time bolted in the street and almost got taken out by a 68 pontiac. Last possible second he turned, not to dodge the car, just because he was being a tard. My mom Freaked, I almost shit, think I was going into the 4th grade at the time, he is still a tard though

I live in Ormond and we usually go to the part of the beach you can't drive on, but we had a bunch of stuff with us so I figured it would be easier to go to Daytona beach. This is the story and I didn't hear anyone yelling at the lady to stop, that's why I started to run over there because I didn't think anyone knew he was under the car. She wasn't speeding, it was the parents fault.
