I usually get 2 of the 8oz Price Chopper cream cheese bricks for that price. Almost as good as the Philly cream cheese. Our mustard is mildly sharp, we can’t take HOT mustards. (04-13-2022, 08:39 AM)Duchess Wrote:(04-12-2022, 10:58 PM)sally Wrote: And cream cheese. RE: Supermarkets - Maggot - 04-18-2022 RE: Supermarkets - MirahM - 04-18-2022 What happened in Texas? My eldest daughter was complaining about the price of 'Danimals' yogurt yesterday. Apparently, it's doubled in price over the last couple of months. I told her to buy a cheaper brand , but she said my granddaughter would only eat that particular brand. The kid is picky as fuck. I put on my little tinfoil hat and asked her what she was going to do when the freight trains go on strike in September and California stops shipping stuff out, because they outlawed 70, 000 independent truckers. She just shook her head and said that it will never happen. Meh. Youth are so optimistic. RE: Supermarkets - Carsman - 07-20-2022 Things were bad and getting worse! Yesterday on the news saw shelves in the supermarket with just pictures of “laundry brands”, the shelves were empty. The theft of these products was outrageous, so to buy the actual bottle of laundry brand that is desired you have to get the store employees involved for them to go get the bottle! RE: Supermarkets - Maggot - 07-20-2022 How the hell do people just walk out with that stuff under their arms? Nobody stops them? WTF RE: Supermarkets - cannongal - 07-20-2022 (07-20-2022, 10:08 AM)Maggot Wrote: How the hell do people just walk out with that stuff under their arms? Nobody stops them? WTF Not sure about other supermarkets, but at Hannaford's, employees are not allowed to stop a person who is walking out without paying. It's corporate policy. All they are allowed to do is make note of the time/day, and pass the info along to loss prevention. My son actually got written up, for stopping someone who was walking out with cases of soda. Apparently corporate is afraid the employees will get hurt in a scuffle or something.
