I don`t know where OP lives, but in the UK it is easy enough to get hold of guns from pistols to AK47`s to Uzi, by the sounds of it, it is no different to over here as it is still the criminal elements who run whole areas of large towns and cities.
The UK police are so hog tied by the PC brigade and green do gooders that unless a criminal act is done in front of them they don`t even bother turning up.
