OK, I wasn't sure exactly how you were being retarded, but now I see. You probably didn't actually check out your setting in My Account. Or, just as negligent, you failed to comprehend it. If you did, you would have noticed that it said:

Always notify by e-mail when replies posted to topics you participated in

This setting in your preferences lets you watch any and all topics that you have posted in, should you want that. Just another option. The Watch Topic button at the bottom of each thread is just for that thread.
