It's a good song and some lightening up is a good thing, imo. Feels a bit dark today. If you had the dancing banana emoticon, might have done the trick?

That song would never make it past the studio today. Back then bands could do any song and it would hit the airwaves good or bad it went out.

I saw them a couple of times in the late 80s or early 90s at bike rallies and a fair or two. They were going under John Kay and Steppenwolf (so I figured the band was reconfiged and the name had to do with royalties or trademark?). They were fun to watch in that kind of setting; still sounded good.
