I flung an orange at a seagull 30 years ago and broke his neck. He landed in the water and he could not bring his head up for air. I stood at the rail of the ship watching him struggle as he went out with the tide. I regret doing that. I was the shit bird that day.

The chipmunks were invading my house, the deer are food, I still feel bad about the seagull 30 yrs later, I was pissed that cold morning on the tin can.
