A black panther is ALWAYS either a BLACK (not spotted) Jaguar, leopard, cougar or puma.

the black leopards/panthers do have spots, they are just hard to see unless the light is right.
i have a beautiful painting of a leopard in my pictures, and of course now i can't find the thing! grrrrrrr

I have pictures of one that I took while working security at a local lake back in 1999, they were at a distance and do not show the spots.

I'm using a laptop with an LED HD screen and I still can't see any spots on the BLACK panthers.
