- D - 06-09-2009 PA: Everywhere I went it smelled like pollution. I'll admit though, that I was mostly near Pittsburgh. - The Antagonist - 06-09-2009 Pittsburgh is full of filth! Try heading east. Lehigh Valley, and the middle section, Hershey outskirts - are absolutely stunning with the rolling hills and horses and cows grazing everywhere you see. - D - 06-09-2009 The Antagonist Wrote:Pittsburgh is full of filth!Kinda hard since I was riding with my dad while he was driving the big rig. - SyberBitch - 06-10-2009 I've never really 'vacationed'. I guess the closest thing was when my ex and I drove to Reno a few times. Once we got stuck there in a blizzard for a few days. We went through a lot of money that trip. =p I've driven across the US twice. I've lived in WV, NJ, IN, WI, CA and OR. My most favorite area was in CA, my least favorite area was in OR. I have little to no interest in cruise ships. Aside from being filthy germ pools, I would also hate the crowding and feel claustrophobic about being 'out to sea'. I have no desire to ever leave sight of shore. I dislike airplanes, but I would love to go to europe sometime, and/or possibly Oz. It would most likely be depressing though, because I doubt I would want to come back. My ideal picture of 'vacationing', would be either backpacking or traveling in a small van or camper. I don't really care for glitzy hotels. - D - 06-10-2009 Whereas I love to fly (and can, though I'm not a licensed pilot), and I love sailing in several forms In a pinch I could fly just about anything. Even a jumbo jet. But I'd never want to fly anything bigger than a B-17 if I could help it. So far I've flown a couple 4 seat Cessnas and a 6 seater of an unknown make. One of these days I'll get my pilots' license. |
