This thread is a trip. I was sad about bullying, then I saw bullying, then I figured out that tiny children who are bullied turn into tiny adults who try to bully others.
Bullying is against the law in most states. Parents need to step in if their kids can't make it stop on their own. If it doesn't stop after being documented, the bullies need to start being charged. Then they can learn about being bullied in jail and maybe their parents will figure out they raised an asshole.
My kid's school sent home the law at the beginning of the year. Three documented instances and the bully has to go to alternative school. It's a solid plan.

Every School should have the same "law" . The bullies have to be stopped.

It is a state law.

Georgia added cyber-bullying this year, which is why they sent home the paper. Facebook is the devil. Kids use it for sex, drugs, and bullying. Same with cell phones.
Every parent needs to know, and use, the state laws to protect their children.

As far as the bullying goes, the school is currently investigating the 'alleged' bullying, so far it's been nothing but finger pointing and a 'not in my school' attitude.
They're also 'looking into' some rumors that it may have been upperclassmen.
Makes me want to home school.

One of the boys in my son's Boy Scout troop took his own life the other day. He was an honor student, Pitcher for his baseball team, he also excelled in hockey, and at 14, he was about to become the youngest boy ever in our Troop to receive the Eagle Scout award.
Unfortunately, he was also very small for his age, and was relentlessly picked on in School.
FUCKING BULLIES! FUCKING SCHOOL! I'm mad as hell right now, and I feel so sorry for his parents, and I want to punch something, and I know that I'm ranting and Raving and I don't fucking care.
My 12 year old doesn't understand why his friend killed himself, AND I DON'T KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN IT TO HIM.
