I think it is hard to judge people on a few early posts. They are just testing the waters, and we are testing them.
I kind of liked when we had Newbie Hell...were we could see how they stood up to interrogation.
But if they join, post a proper intro post..and join in as soon as activated, then I say give them a shot
Not newbie hell...but just a day or two of limited access to see how much they participate. I know when I first join a forum, I am taking time to read older shit, and also posting as much as I can, to get my name recognised. I think if a newbie shows that kind of interest, they may be a keeper/
But, some you just cannot see the real them until they have been here a while. MA was an idiot.

I try to move all intro threads straight into the newbie forum as quickly as I can. I prefer to turn them over to all of you rather than keep them in Purgatory, that invisible forum is a pain in my ass but necessary. There are a couple in there right now who will never get access.
