RE: BadAss Firepit - Eat Shit And Die - 04-19-2013 I really like this one RE: BadAss Firepit - SIXFOOTERsez - 04-19-2013 Pretty cool, the guy uses a hand operated plasma cutter, Nice $1600 would be pretty good deal I would think, I have no idea how the forming is done. Probably multiple pieces rolled and then welded together RE: BadAss Firepit - Maggot - 04-19-2013 Lets see if this works. I said it was lunch time ......here, hold this wood. RE: BadAss Firepit - Eat Shit And Die - 04-19-2013 RE: BadAss Firepit - Jimbone - 04-19-2013 Those all look cool... I like the one with the world on fire... seems appropriate most days. RE: BadAss Firepit - Maggot - 04-19-2013 I like the world on too but after a ton of booze might just kick it as hard as I could, get my foot stuck in it and end up in the hospital. RE: BadAss Firepit - SIXFOOTERsez - 04-20-2013 Nice work Maggot, your daughter is cute as a bug too. RE: BadAss Firepit - crash - 04-20-2013 If its only 16# it wouldn't take too much to form it.. 1/4" plate would be a different story. I'm wondering if they're not a pressed hemispherical end for a vessel that has been plasma cut. RE: BadAss Firepit - F.U. - 04-20-2013 I wonder how heavy the metal would need to be to prevent warping from the heat? There has got to be a point where it is heavy enough to retain shape, but not to heavy to work into shape. RE: BadAss Firepit - crash - 04-20-2013 If it has been formed, it will retain shape fine in a normal fire pit. The bigger worry with 16# would be oxidation from the fire and being in the elements. The ass would rust out of it pretty quick if it were that thin. Think a 55 gallon drum cut in half used as a fire bucket left in the open.. 1/4" might get you some value for $1600 |
