I have tried it a couple of times. I don't have any skis, but I do have snowshoes and I put those on today.
Spent the afternoon digging each others vehicles out and brushing them off in case it all freezes tonight.
The snow plow came and got stuck. The 2nd plow came and it took them 3 hours to get that one unstuck. He actually sort of hit a wall etc etc, so it wasn't really the snow it was the wall.
Sounds like a rookie snow plower.
Never tried snowshoeing. Sounds like fun, tho.

Snow is an evil Mistress! I have to move all the vehicles during a storm, I put them 1⁄2 on the lawn to be able to clear the half driveway I need. I'm kinda glad this is happening on a weekend, it sucks in the middle or beginning of the week. We may get 8-10 in the next few days, not much but enough to make me work for 2 hrs.

Yeah the shittiest thing is "Where do you put it all?" It has to go somewhere and at one point there was just no where to put it all!
I am supposed to be somewhere in the morning. I haven't decided what I'm going to do yet. I could walk it if I can't drive. It might ice up over night and that would suck.
My bones are sore and tired, I'm already in bed.

Yeah, every winter I start out tossing it as far as I can. It's OK at first but as the year moves on and more comes down it gets crazy and you have to get creative with it. Sometimes I have to move it 3 times to get it where it needs to be. THAT wears me out. It doesn't even count clearing a path for the oil guy. Thats always fun!

It's 28 degrees out there right now. I took a walk up to the barn. It's so fresh & crisp outdoors, just beautiful. It's a bright muthafucka tho, I couldn't see anything when I stepped inside the barn, blinded! I would so much rather have this than that godawful humidity.

We got about 3 inches of snow. Our biggest snow fall so far this winter. Looks like it has already stopped snowing.

I think our average is around 6" or so. It never dawned on me how much we really got until I started driving through town and saw all of the snow piles around. Now one of the neighboring towns is running out of places to put the snow.

What we lacked in snow we made up for in ice. I slid a couple times on my way to work Monday. Almost did an involuntary split. The sidewalks are still icy but less icy than Monday. I still need to be careful walking to and from work.

No. I just have my big old rubber galoshes. I'm really hoping we don't get enough snow that I need something like yak tracks to get to my car.
Knowing my luck, we will get lots of snow and a snow emergency the week after the Superbowl when I took some vacation the whole week.

You can use them to walk on icy sidewalks too. It isn't neccesarily for snow.

No, they are just rubber wire things you slip on over your shoes. The best kind have top straps so they don't fall off.
