However, BS&T had fun by using a "Western Saloon Style" blues . . . and pulled it off. RE: Who believes.... - rothschild - 03-03-2023 ChatGPT without the question mark. Consciousness is energy, energy doesn't die: it ebbs and flows, until the end of time. Yes, no, maybe? RE: Who believes.... - rothschild - 03-03-2023 RE: Who believes.... - sally - 03-03-2023 There are many theories and no one is any closer to knowing about the afterlife. However, I do know for a fact that some type of energy and telecommunication is possible shortly after death. It's something I've personally experienced. I've never seen God, angels, demons, ghosts, aliens, gnomes.... but I did experience that. With my luck, when I die I'll be hit with out-of-network roaming charges, when I try and communicate . . . or no bars. RE: Who believes.... - sally - 03-03-2023 I'll be stuck with a transgender or Indian that puts me on hold for eternity. RE: Who believes.... - Piglet - 03-04-2023 That script is wrong Donovan, firstly its ego driven as if people need recognition. We dont, we are here to act out our own fates, whatever they may be, whether it be Ronny Reagan or a homeless person in Seattle. Ive been looking at homeless people in the USA its heart breaking, there is a man who fills up the back of his car with food drink, clothes, tents and toiletries and just hands it out. He expects nothing. His opening video strap line is no one is poor who gives, thats his payment Anyway, there is a physical manifestation of records of life continuing after death, nothing is hopeless or means nothing, as per your message. Its your genes, a coding, a bloody machine from the past. Life is a training ground, like an officer and a gentleman, and that other film where that bloke killed himself. You will suffer here. There is no light without dark, and you will gain from it regardless. Or you will not. Every moment you live you can re invent yourself, Chang has tried, and by changing rewrite your fate, your genes, for next time. I went to a car wash in the week, the blokes were eastern european, it cost 10 quid, i gave 20, and asked for five back, the smile i got back was priceless. "Humility and good-works are always best performed in full view of the public and media . . . lest their acts go unnoticed." Says my Mum . . . with sarcasm . . . regarding those wanting attention for their overt displays of humility and selflessness. And she is a humble and selfless woman who never seeks accolades or thanks, for her good-works . . . she just does what needs to be done and does what she can do. Silently and with commitment. RE: Who believes.... - Piglet - 03-05-2023 I didnt take it like that, that he was just banging his own drum. Having said that his views are about 350 k or a bit higher, and in one video he had a staff in his hand like Moses in the desert, i thought that was odd, and in my naievety thought he must have a leg problem. Jesus banged his own drum, he performed miracles, gave his life to show the way. Imagine what it took to get crucified, on purpose. Judging this bloke, and his interaction with people, he seems genuine to me. I give to three charities, it doesnt take effort, i doubt i would have given an extra fiver to those blokes without his efforts in my mind. I see his efforts as an example. Giving face to face is different, it can be a drug, who knows what the truth is. You mean a white entitled male that votes for ScoMo, probably. RE: Who believes.... - crash - 03-07-2023 Yes, I’m white.. Entitled? If I am, it hasn’t got me anywhere. I think I’m a generation and a half before that headline. I worked my arse off for everything I have, and was taught succinctly how to do so. Yes, I voted for Scomo once. Once only. He was the lesser of two evils at the time. Bit last time tho. RE: Who believes.... - aussiefriend - 03-20-2023 I have worked my arse off too Crash. This country is a mess. I have to help clean it up. The robodebt, secret ministries and the destruction of medicare is unforgiveable. I have the added stress of the corruption here in Tasmania. You live in an altered reality from ordinary Aussies. How could you ever vote for Scomo? Especially as the time you did, he was in Hillsong using God for votes, like Trump did with the Bible out the front of the church. Both had humiliating electoral losses. Good. RE: Who believes.... - crash - 03-20-2023 Like I said, he was the lesser of two eveils at the time. I’m not a party voter. I’d rather be a policy voter, but when, recently, have we had any decent policy to vote for. Lately, my vote has gone to the movement who I believe will do us the least damage. After Albos sun deal, I’m wondering if I made the right decision RE: Who believes.... - aussiefriend - 03-20-2023 To be fair to you, the voters really didn't know what they were getting the first time around, and I think that there was a strong campaign. He had air to breathe after the leadership spill. I think Labor need to get on with it. Things are moving slowly here. I personally haven't seen any improvement in my own life. Looks like they have just fluffed their own nests. RE: Who believes.... - crash - 03-20-2023 Your last sentence seems to be current policy for our last two elected governments. And pretty much for future prospective governments. It’s all about damage control for voters, unfortunately RE: Who believes.... - aussiefriend - 03-21-2023 I have worked on 2019 campaign as well as many other local and interstate campaigns. After posting this yesterday, I thought about this post again, and remembered they took a clobbering because of the franking credits. Baby Boomers were going off their heads about it, on and on about it. Bill Shorten was the leader of the party then. Was a hard campaign. The electorate truly had buyers remorse after the bushfires and ScoMo stayed in Hawaii. The rest of us already knew what he was like. |
