I don't think anyone needs to be perfect in their spelling and grammar. I simply prefer communicating with persons who have a relatively high intelligence when it comes to all things spelling and grammar related. more than just the knowledge, really, also the desire to put it to good use.
i also much prefer pounding sand as opposed to salt.
