I'm currently snowed in at a cigar shop in Rotterdam, waiting to see if we can get a hotel room, 2 minutes down the road for the night.

My husband would love to drag me up to our cabin and you’d think after me saying “no” every winter for the last 15 years he’d get the message that I’m not interested. I sucked it up for the kids when they were little but I haven’t been there in the snow since. He finally understands I hate skiing but he’s convinced I’d enjoy snowshoeing. The only thing I like about snow is that it looks pretty from inside a warm, cozy environment. I don’t want to spend one minute actually outside in it. I could be wearing all the gear in the world and I’d still be cold. Plus putting all that on and then peeling it off only to repeat again just to step outside? Forget about it.
I hope u get ur hotel room.

No hotel room. Was at the cigar shop/lounge until about 4:30am. Crawled home to my brother's apartment that is normally a 15 minute drive, had some breakfast at a Stewart's down the road from his apartment, grabbed about 5 hours sleep and made it home to my apartment about 2 hours ago.

I NEED you!!! I had a friend who moved away a couple years ago but she was ALL OVER our hot tub. She’d come over and I’d get over the cold, short walk there and back to hang out. My husband never goes in there even though he was insistent that we replace the one that was removed before we bought the house. It would be nice to have company.
IDK, I was almost inspired to go in it but even though we have it serviced weekly and drained/cleaned every 6 months, I just opened it up and it’s foamy in there which I know isn’t good (we used to have a product to remove foam but don’t see any in our shed now). Tomorrow. If I weren’t skeeved out by the foam, I would have used it tonight. Thank u.

Sunday nights some of us get together to go into a sauna. I finally perfected the outfit that kept me warmest. I put on my swimsuit then my snow pants and and this warm top. I wear thick socks and Crocs there, but take my sandles to get into the water.
When the snow gets deep enough I will just lay in that
It was so beautiful tonight. The clouds finally cleared, and we could see the stars and the moon. I didn't get fully in to the river, just up to my knees and then dip my arms in. It was freaking cold. But the sauna was super hot, so it helped.
