Me either. Unless it's Mark Wahlberg.

I love my kids school, it's the highest rated school in the county and the staff is wonderful at all the schools, but I have always felt like someone is skimming off the top. This year my oldest was supposed to go on an overnight trip with his class that he's decided he doesn't want to go on since we are going there this summer with my mother. They want $750 a person for bus fare and hotel, food and other expenses are extra. 150 kids are going (plus volunteers, which also have to pay), thats over $100k. The principal told me it was my duty as a parent to participate in the fundraiser (that every other kid in his grade is participating in) or pay the money, even if my oldest doesn't go. I don't think so. I donated to the trip fund but I'm not paying almost a thousand dollars for a trip my kid isn't going on.

I'll donate my time and my money, but sometimes, enough is enough.

$750 for one night...FUCK that, especially if you're going to the same place soon.
Thank God my kids are out of school.

I concur, what the fuck?, my daughter went skiing for a week in France with her school last year and it cost less than that.

Not only would I laugh in their face, they would never get another of these trips past the school board without hearing from me.

Oh shit! 28

I don't believe for one minute that MS looks anything like George. I picture him looking more like his avatar.

Should I bet him a virtual blowjob if I'm wrong? hah

I think one of the reasons I treat him so badly is because I often feel like I AM talking to his avatar. Seriously, his av is a dufus.

I think you should bet him, he thinks with his pecker so he may go for it. Smiley_emoticons_wink

This trip has been happening since the beginning of time. My own parents went on it and said they shelled out almost $300 in the 70's to go. I didn't go on it b/c my Mom didn't have the money and I didn't meet the fundraiser quota. I have another son that will have this opportunity in 4 years. I'm curious to see what the cost will be then.

Parents standing up is a new concept, but one that seems to be catching on.

I'll think about it but I'd need proof it's him. It would be just like that sneaky rat bastard to google "clooney look alike" and post the picture as his own.
