Are you talking about the US Justice Department vs. the State of Arizona and Gov. Jan Brewer in 2010? I think there was also a subsequent lawsuit filed last year, again by Holder and the US Justice Dept., against Arizona Sheriff Arpaio and Maricopa county for racially profiling Latinos. I don't know the current status of either case.

The simple fact is there should be no lawsuits and there should not be a question about the states right to enforce federal law under title 8.
