The perps often need to be told to "shut the fuck up, stop talking, and stop trying to out talk me" So cops having an attitude is something that is just going to be there. we ask them to deal with the lowest rung on the social ladder all day, so those same citizens will leave us alone. If all I did was deal with scum that were constantly fucking around I would automatically have an attitude everytime I had to deal with a new person. But, it has always been my experience with most cops, that you get what you give. The cop may start out with an attitude assuming that I am going to be just another asshole, but after 30 seconds of interaction everything gets diffused. They realize I'm just a normal person (just like them) I'm not trying to hustle and lie with every breath, and in turn they treat me just as decent. NOTICE I SAID MOST COPS: you still get guys who have a small dick issue, but in reality you get that everywhere, not just cops. Fact. RE: A thread critical of LE (cops & prosecutors) - shitstorm - 03-06-2011 Yeah, well, the people who get their homes broken into by SWAT team psychos don't have the opportunity to be nice. I DO get it, though. I rescued dogs in Los Angeles. Shitty, dangerous neighborhoods. If I were a cop in an environment like that, I would become jaded and jumpy. I'd sure as hell hate black people and Mexicans. People's Constitutional rights would probably be the last thing on my mind. This is problematic. That last one makes me absolutely crazy. When I read these stories or see the videos all I can think of is how much I would like to shoot the asshole cowards who did it. OF COURSE, I NEVER WOULD. I don't want to go to prison. Shitstorm, I watched that video yesterday and it made me cry. It was VERY disturbing and I keep thinking about it. That poor boy is going to be traumatized for life. I know there are a lot of decent cops out there but unfortunately there are so many power-tripping asshole cops like this that it makes them all look bad. RE: A thread critical of LE (cops & prosecutors) - d505 - 03-18-2011 So sad. I think like we notify public of corruption we should also notify and praise the good officers who bring us safety save lives etc. For instance an officer from florida recently died after catching a chronic disease while trying to give an infant cpr. RE: A thread critical of LE (cops & prosecutors) - shitstorm - 03-24-2011 SALT LAKE CITY (CN) - Police officers responded to a family's complaint that their diabetic son may have been in danger from driving without taking his medicine by running him off the road into an interstate highway median and shooting him to death, the family says. Joey Tucker's father, Perry Tucker, and his fiancée Brieanne Matson say they were "concerned about his health" when they called Salt Lake City Police. Joey Tucker had not taken his diabetes medication and "had possibly taken a sleeping pill," according to the federal complaint. The family claims a Highway Patrol trooper rammed Tucker's pickup into a concrete barrier as Tucker drove on Interstate 80, then Salt Lake Police Officer Louis "Law" Jones shot him to death while he "was simply sitting," all of which was recorded on officers' dashboard cameras. more - http://www.courthousenews.com/2011/03/21/35070.htm |
