Very few people are ever aware that anyone else is leeching their wireless signal, and if they've been stupid enough to leave it open and unprotected, you're not doing anything wrong anyway. They're basically giving it away.
Just make sure that you don't have 'file sharing' turned on for your computer, and if you do, make sure it's password protected and you're in good shape.
