So far this is nothing that anyone has said anything in opposition to AND has Fuck All to do with the Covington 16 year olds. Some boys get harrased while waiting for their bus. I wonder what they were wearing? Perhaps they can learn from this so it doesn't happen to other catholic highschool students. Thank you for clearing that up for me. RE: An example of media hype - Fry Guy - 02-05-2019 Nothing to do with what girls are wearing and nothing to do with what they were wearing,, in that it is only good to see why perpetrators did what they did not to victimise victims, and no i never blamed girls for being raped and yes you blamed the boys for getting death threats. I didn't because i am not immoral. You did because you are. No i also was not so fucking stupid to pretend there was equivalence. You did. How is that for clearing things up? RE: An example of media hype - MirahM - 02-06-2019 I did not blame them for getting death threats. Thank you for showing me what it is like to have words taken out of context. Also I love how both you and Big Mark said things like, "I will not respect you" if I post a certain way or believe a certain thing. Give me a fucking break you two. Fry Guy you are just looking for an arguement. Plus you love to be on your pedastal and call people immoral and liars. I am trying to build a bridge and you refuse to even walk it part way. RE: An example of media hype - Fry Guy - 02-06-2019 I am not on a pedestal BUT I am not picking on 16 yr old kids RE: An example of media hype - Fry Guy - 02-06-2019 Having raised 2 kids through their 16th year i tend to not be dismissive about how mature, invulnerable and how able they handle themselves against bullying by adults. Kids are vulnerable and need protection. Being male, white or Christian is not a defence against it. But, who really fucking cares? Not my kids, not my country, not my values and not my concern. RE: An example of media hype - MirahM - 02-06-2019 RE: An example of media hype - pyropappy - 02-10-2019 Here comes round 2 let the games begin RE: An example of media hype - pyropappy - 02-19-2019 1 down 54 to go The Blaze Suing the Washington Post for 250 million; I hope he gets every dime. This kid gonna be richer than Trump. This has not been a good year for Bezos, lost his wife with her getting 75 billion, got caught pulling a Wiener and now this. Karma is a bitch. Can't wait to see how much they go after CNN for. RE: An example of media hype - Fry Guy - 02-20-2019 Yes yes yes!!! bankrupt the lot of them. Have them have to reassess their commitment to outrage culture, virtue signaling and unpersoning RE: An example of media hype - Duchess - 02-20-2019 Now if you'll both hold your breath waiting for that to happen. Thanks! RE: An example of media hype - Fry Guy - 02-20-2019 Nah, I am happy to wait. RE: An example of media hype - Maggot - 03-03-2019 Lets explore the bias media narrative that we have today. And the words used to describe each party whenever possible. Dem Rep misspoke.........................................Lied evolve.............................................flip-flop opposition research..........................collusion propose...........................................scheme nibble..............................................gorge question...........................................pounce explore.............................................attack The list is long and these are the ones that come to mind right away. RE: An example of media hype - Fry Guy - 03-03-2019 Nice list Maggot RE: An example of media hype - Maggot - 03-13-2019 I don't know what it is. usually when there is an issue big or small going on with Trump, the media pundits have a catch phrase they use and I'm not sure if they all get a phone call with the catch phrase of the day or something but yesterday it was "the wheels are coming off" every single one of them from Mad cow to morning joke was saying it. Last week the phrase was "grappling" the week before was "weaponizing" It's amazing that they all use the same catch phrase of the day. I'm looking for today's phrase or maybe it will be tomorrows. Who knows? And how do they all know to use the same one? And on the same day. It's amazing. RE: An example of media hype - Duchess - 03-13-2019 Ahh, talking points. Words of the day that are thrown out there, frequent phrases that are used in the hopes someone will pick them up and use them. Kinda like when you refer to Democrats as the violent left, that oldie but goodie. RE: An example of media hype - Maggot - 03-13-2019 (03-13-2019, 12:43 PM)Duchess Wrote: Kinda like when you refer to Democrats as the violent left, that oldie but goodie. That's what most people agree on though because they are the violent left, happens just about every day. Knocking the hats off people that wear MAGA hats, punching a conservative handing out pamphlets on a college campus, creating fake racial crimes that start riots. The list goes on. RE: An example of media hype - MirahM - 03-13-2019 He forgot "victim" as the word to describe the republicans and the president and his family. The way this game is played is the media describes one party different than the other, one can be deemed more favorable depending on the party and who is describing it. So there is an opposing view that may or may not be as "lightly salted" as the other. RE: An example of media hype - Blindgreed1 - 03-14-2019 Maggot Wrote:Fake news? Not a thing. Just ask Jussie.
