RE: TAX REFORM - HairOfTheDog - 04-17-2019

Anyway, I really hope Trump keeps his word about not cutting social security, medicare, medicaid, and supplemental food programs to reduce the increased debt/deficit created by the tax cuts.

It's not my experience that those who benefit from those programs are lazy or milking the system (though I'm sure some do).  Most of the people I know and employed who benefit from those programs are very hard working (or old and already paid their dues to the system).

I suspect President Trump won't impose such cuts in his first term because the voters in his base would be the most affected.  I do worry that he might go there if he's elected to a second term and re-election is no longer an issue though.

Well the way it broke down for us according to the accountant is right away we get a twenty percent deduction on our corporate taxes because my husband is a GC who does a wide range of work, we get double for being a married couple and can claim our kid this time, plus several other deductions for being in the construction field. $30,000 less than what we would have had to pay. And I'm not rich, I'm just a nobody from down the road. So now everyone like me pays $30,000 less in taxes so what happens? A good start would be by not giving healthy abled bodied people welfare.

I wasn't including you among the wealthiest Americans who end up having to pay very little in taxes with the new tax reforms sally.

Welfare fraud is, and should be, minimized as much as possible. That's true.

That's not going to cover the increased debt and deficit created by the reduction in government tax revenue combined with increased government spending though.

I know, the wealthiest people are the people who run the country, both sides. And there isn't much you can do about it. So I'll just go with the one that puts the least burden on me.

I'm in the top 10% and we get sallly'd in the ass.

RE: TAX REFORM - Maggot - 12-19-2019

I'm not the brightest bub but I'm not paying as much in as I was last year. It may depend on the State one lives in.

RE: TAX REFORM - BigMark - 12-20-2019

I'd say.
