Did Chauvin have his knee on Floyd's neck before he was cuffed? I doubt it. And what is the applicability of "resisting arrest" when you're dealing with someone that has mental health issues and/or is intoxicated? The main problem is the limitation of liability. When you shield people from the consequences of their actions you're asking for trouble -- big trouble. Chauvin isn't overly stupid. He's the product of a broken system that exists to maintain order, and has little to nothing to do with justice, and Democrats and Republicans alike bear responsibility for it's brutal excesses. RE: George Floyd - sally - 06-29-2021 Chauvin is very goddamn stupid. The guy was begging for him to stop and so were the bystanders, if I were the cop I'd take my fucking knee off him at that point. RE: George Floyd - sally - 06-29-2021 I dont fucking care rothschild, the cop was in the wrong and I'm sticking to it. No changing my mind because I watched the live video. RE: George Floyd - BigMark - 06-30-2021 the stupid angry public don't get to tell me how to do my job RE: George Floyd - MirahM - 06-30-2021 Howz that workin 4 ya? RE: George Floyd - BigMark - 06-30-2021 that's me channelling government workers during the pandemic. RE: George Floyd - sally - 06-30-2021 I read that he had several complaints filed against him prior to this. I think he's always been a dickhead, he even looks like one. Another cop would have just taken his knee off of him once he was handcuffed face down and obvious that he's not a threat to anyone. Unfortunately for Floyd he got this cop. Unfortunately for Floyd he got this cop. Klobuchar knew about those complaints and did nothing about it. Just like John Daley knew how detective Jon Burge was extracting confessions from black suspects, and did nothing about it. Burge on how to solve crimes in Chicago: "you round up 2000 pounds of nigger". Did Obama ever speak out about that shit? Hell no, because if he had he wouldn't have gotten Daley's blessing to run for president. So no, we're not talking about a few bad apples here. RE: George Floyd - Maggot - 06-30-2021 I think a nice statue of Mao Tse-tung would look good in Chicago. RE: George Floyd - rothschild - 06-30-2021 The last thing Daley did for his constituents was sell 75 years worth of parking revenue for a cool billion dollars in cash to fund his final sweetheart budget for his special friends. After he left office he became a "consultant" for the same corporation that gave him that billion dollar payoff. So it's no wonder at all that the lunatics are running the asylum now, because everyone who *could* leave did so as quickly as they could. When I left 6 years ago Chicago's bond rating was downgraded to junk status. It's every bit as fucked as Detroit, and then some. Unfortunately for Floyd he got this cop. Mostly it has to do with the fact that the people who most frequently come into contact with police are poor folk, and blacks are disproportionately poor. Racism is a factor, for sure, but I think it has much more to do with class, meaning this is largely about economics. RE: George Floyd - sally - 06-30-2021 Well I agree so just what the hell is it that you're trying to argue with me about? I'm merely pointing out that Chauvin is to some extent a convenient scapegoat who's been sacrificed so corporate marxists can curry favor with the same people they've been terrorizing with these sorts of violent goons for a great many decades. If you're wondering why, it's because whites are the demographic that has the greatest appreciation for national sovereignty, which is entirely antithetical to the establishment of a marxist world government, with rainbows and unicorns for all! That's right, sally, white people are why we can't have nice things like rainbows and unicorns in this world. It really is true. RE: George Floyd - sally - 06-30-2021 Well why the fuck didn't you just say that? I agree. RE: George Floyd - BigMark - 06-30-2021 wake up white people RE: George Floyd - Carsman - 07-01-2021 "History" remembers MLK, with reverence/adoration for sacrificing his life with regard to addressing erasing racism. And now "History" will remember GF for "unwittingly" sacrificing his life with regard to addressing erasing racism. RE: George Floyd - Maggot - 07-01-2021 I don't think it was a racist thing. It was a criminal and a cop that used undo force against him. |
