OP became an authority on avoiding hypocrisy and pussy-whippings by being an Atheist that celebrates, exchanges, and decorates for Christmas.

Idiot.

tmbsgrl/angel eyes is one of the stupidest people who ever fondled a mouse. not only that, the cow acts like the product of a nunnery online, and i have seen PMs and emails she wrote that would make the worst piece of shit i ever arrested faint dead away. pure filth and vitriol. she also is one of those people who would go to her forum(s) (fg) and ask for financial help. ::vio::

she's probably here, although i think i'd know her style pretty quickly. dumb as a stump and completely self-absorbed.

Please forgive me, I had no idea an Atheist celebrating Christmas avoided being pussy-whipped or hypocrtical, while the Agnostic whodoesn't care or know enough tofeel restricted, helping with the kids at church, didn't manage to avoid such a thing.

A person that decided they somehow know for a fact that there is no God (i.e. the Atheist moron) decorating a Christmas tree with one of his blue pussy-whipped balls was just a bit much for me to take. Thinking of OP wearing a Christmas sweater and eating Christmas foods was hard to take, too. And of courseOP singing Christmas carols and giving his daughter a giftwas also clearly not connected with the Birth of Christ (Christmas).

Atheists are assholes. They take an unknowable position and then are never consistent with it. They don't tell their boss they want to work over the Christmas holidays, and most of these arrogant yups take Christmas gifts, bonuses, tips, etc. They can even be seen doing this "coincidental and non-Jesus" Christmasdecorating, eating, and gift exchanging each and every fucking year. Assholes.

Agnostics like me think Atheists are morons. Normal adults know that you have no real way of knowing so shut the fuck up with this "I know there is no God" bullshit.

It's OK to go to a Church. You won't melt or be struck down, dope. I promise if you go into a Church, you will still have the opportunity to be an Atheist. No harm done, Ass Rodent.

- OnBendedKnee - 05-02-2009

Agnostics are lazy thinkers. Study what it is you question and take a position. An atheist has done so.

Couple that with the improbability of proving a negative- an atheist doesn't need to prove there is no God. I don't believe the moon is made of denim, but I can't stand here and prove it to you. I can't prove there are tiny little fairies that push daisies up from the ground, but I don't believe there are.
I can't prove there is no "Great Pumpkin" of the likes Linus believes, but I don't believe there is.
There are many Gods an Agnostic doesn't believe in as I'm sure they don't believe in the thousands that have been created by active imaginations since the beginning of time- thus making that agnostic an 'atheist' when it comes to those Gods he doesn't think exist.

Sorry for the free-flow rambling, but the bottom line for me:

I think an Agnostic is a disbeliever. To say "I don't know" if there is a God is akin to someone asking, "Do you love your wife?" and answering, "I don't know."

Think about it. If your loved one answered as such, in your mind you'd know he/she really was saying, "No, I don't."

- LuMPyPussy - 05-02-2009

I think "god" is more like a big open-ended question that the human mind is unable to encompass and some of us choose to hope for the best but aren't really sure if there's anything out there. Your wife is corporeal... an after-life isn't.

MF is probably going to hedge his bets and go for the last minute death bed repentance tactic.

We are both adults yet he is somehow unable to take a position on this issue, which is surprisingwhen you consider how intelligent he claims to be.

Like I have said before agnostics are all the "don't knows" recorded duringopinion polls.

An agnostic *might* be a 'lazy thinker', but then so might an atheist.

Atheism is the same exact thing as fundamentalism, just the flip side of the coin. Both atheists and fundamentalists are 'fanatics' in that they are certain they are correct in their beliefs (belief in 'God' or belief that there is no 'God').

Deep thinking may or may not have a damned thing to do with how any of us reaches our personal spiritual philosophies. It might be something that you were taught to believe. It might be something that you just decide one day to believe. You might have had some sort of 'experience' and attributed it to some particular thing, sparking your current system of beliefs.

Bad examples. Yes, we CAN prove that the moon isn't made from denim and that fairies don't push up flowers. There are, however, many other things that we cannot prove or disprove (such as the existence of 'God', 'god' or just some 'higher power'). Honestly though, all THAT logic proves, is that the agnostic path is the most logical one because WE DON'T KNOW.

There is a lot of religious claptrap that I simply do not believe because it's ridiculous and personally, I don't think ANY of the major religions have a definitive view of 'God' (or whatever you want to call whatever entity (or entities) there may be), but the basic question of whether or not there even IS some 'higher entity' is unknown to us all, and probably will be in perpetuity.

An agnostic is definitely an 'unbeliever' in the terms of most major religions, because he or she does not 'believe' in their particular deity. What they are 'unsure' about, is whether or not there is anything out there to believe in.

Please point out to me one war in the history of humanity caused by "fanatical" atheists?

I am not fanantical, I just don't believe in fairy tales.

I do not think atheism and fundamentalism are the exactsame thing. It's no more fanatical to believe in a God than to not believe in one. What is fanatical is when someone reads the scriptures of their religion in a literal way, pushing it on others and causing warfare. Fundamentalists do that, atheists do not. I don't see how they are in any way alike.

You are of course correct Sally, Atheism and fundamentalism are two completely different things at opposite ends of the religious spectrum, syberbitch is just being retarded.

I do not preach atheism, if people ask me about religion I will tell them I am atheist, I believe in freedom of religion, including the freedom not to believe in god.
