Pyongyang, North Korea (CNN) -- Defying warnings from the international community, North Korea launched a long-range rocket on Friday, but it appears to have broken apart shortly afterward, U.S. officials said.Brainexplode115

Tokyo, which had threatened to shoot down the rocket if it appeared to be threatening its territory, had called for restraint. But Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda said Thursday, "We are fully prepared to deal with any contingency," according to the news agency Kyodo.

Countries that include the United States and South Korea see the launch as a cover for a ballistic missile test. International leaders had urged North Korea to cancel the launch, but Pyongyang refused to back down, insisting the operation is for peaceful purposes.

The rocket made it off the launch pad, but fell apart shortly afterward, two U.S. officials said.

Some of the study I am doing at the moment, I found something you might find interesting. Studies show that women who use the internet >10 hours per week report feeling less sad and unhappy than those who don't.

It also shows that even though conversing via the internet does not relieve stress the way a face to face interaction can, it does significantly still reduce the effects of stress and can make the person feel less inhibited to talk about subjects that they may not feel comfortable discussing in person.

Thought you would find that interesting. Here's the article.

The internet in general makes me very happy. I cannot imagine doing the majority of my work in person, I'd have to be on the road every friggin' day. Ugh. The internet has made my life infinitely more easy.

Conversing over the internet DOES relieve way more stress than an actual face to face interaction. Are you kiddin' me. I have no filter online, none whatsoever, I also have no tact nor gracious demeanor. I'd even go so far as to say I simply don't give a fuck what people think, why would I? I care what those who are an actual part of my life think, I care what the people I do business with think, I couldn't care any less than I do right now what a virtual stranger thinks of me & my comments.

I'm actually very soft spoken in real life but the moment I sign on it's like I have a whole new vocabulary & it's all vulgar.

RE: the 2012 trivial drivel thread - Maggot - 04-13-2012

People say more stuff on the internet that they are to chicken to say face to face. I find it alarming.

RE: the 2012 trivial drivel thread - Duchess - 04-13-2012

I'm not chicken. In real life, ingrained good manners prevents me from saying a great deal.

The study is directly associated to stressful events where one group was allowed to talk about the stressful event they viewed and the other group was only allowed to discuss it online. The second group did show physiological signs of relieving the stress but the first group had better results face to face. I am researching abuse, 3000 word essay.

North Korea's rocket scientists have been forced to hang their heads in collective shame following the spectacular failure of their latest long-range missile which blew up moments after launch.

Military leaders had hoped to show off their nation's technological prowess by blasting a satellite into orbit in what the West had called a covert test of missile technology and a flagrant violation of international resolutions.

It pains me to say this against my own species but I recently saw something on another site that has firmly convinced me that women are waaaay dumber than men.

I'm such a site snob when I think some of the women here (intellectually) are the cream of the crop.

It was nice of you to not make the three seperate lists.

I know username appreciates not heading up the list of the dumbshit women of Mock.

and aussie is glad that she didn't get to see her name in lights at the top spot of the tard women of Mock list.

and I know that cracker thinks she,He,It,whatever would be in the top spot for the intelligent women of Mock list, even though the gender of cracker is a continual and perpetual question and the actual list where She,He,it,Whatever would belong on is unknown.

RE: the 2012 trivial drivel thread - Duchess - 04-14-2012

There are some lines even I can't cross in here. I wouldn't have a tard list or any other list that dissed my Members.

I appreciate EVERYONE'S participation in Mock. Smiley_emoticons_smile

I know aussie contributes nothing, apart from retardation, self pity and turning every thread into being about her.

An annoying, braindead, drippy fuckwit.

I call bullshit. Show me a woman who is dumber than Dick.

At the risk of sounding repetitive aussie, aussie is dumber than dick.

Incredibly.

i really despise people who think they are the welcome wagon and suck up to moronic trolls. Ignore Troll

RE: the 2012 trivial drivel thread - Cracker - 04-15-2012

Tell us what you really think. hahaha

I hate people who tell you they have you on ignore (the trolls do that to me, I'm a badass!). I have done it to piss someone off in the middle of a Crack Attack, but not in general. It is so much funnier to have someone on ignore and not tell them. They follow you around having a conniption and don't even realize you aren't reading any of it. hahahahaha Of course you have to tell a few people what you did so they can laugh, too.

I know that's fucked up, but it's infinitely amusing to me.

If that's directed at me LC, I get it, seriously. We might have a different idea of sucking up and welcoming.
