RE: Holly Bobo, 20, Tenn. kidnapped - Lady Cop - 04-25-2011 i think searches are going to scale back, people need to get on with their lives and work. the extreme storms are a good reason to slow down. and the "new evidence" they found yesterday...still no clue what that was, as usual nothing forthcoming. TBI Director just told me this "significant" piece of evidence found over the weekend could be a "game changer." #HollyBobo willnunley Source: organized public searches expected to stop during severe weather threat. #teamholly 13 minutes ago » Will Nunley Volunteer: fairgrounds command center is closing for today and Tuesday. Future plans have not officially been released. #hollybobo 14 minutes ago RE: Holly Bobo, 20, Tenn. kidnapped - soothsayer - 04-25-2011 Just rumors from Huffpo: snip: On Sunday, investigators announced they had found a "significant" item. Volunteers reportedly told Fox 13's Earle Farrell the significant piece of evidence is a cell phone. Helm declined to comment and would only say that there are "lots of rumors and speculation." RE: Holly Bobo, 20, Tenn. kidnapped - Duchess - 04-25-2011 I don't get the thought behind them saying something significant had been found yet they won't say what it is. Why say anything at all then? RE: Holly Bobo, 20, Tenn. kidnapped - soothsayer - 04-25-2011 Prolly have to figure in the holiday weekend, and then the work week. Those things are going to make some volunteers unavailable. Next weekend could be the test. RE: Holly Bobo, 20, Tenn. kidnapped - ivanna - 04-25-2011 not only does the brother's comments smell rotten but now the police and search organizers are starting to smell rotten in Denmark. RE: Holly Bobo, 20, Tenn. kidnapped - soothsayer - 04-26-2011 Well they're excited about whatever was found.(most rumors say her cellphone....some say missing its sim card). cnn sez: Tennessee's top investigator said Monday that searchers have found an item that officials believe belonged to the 20-year-old nursing student who disappeared earlier this month. .... Mark Gwyn, director of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, said the item in question was being analyzed at a crime lab. He declined to say what exactly was found. "Not only has it given the family hope, it's given the investigators hope. Anytime you find what you believe to be evidence from someone that's missing, it revives the search and the investigation," he said. "Hopefully this item will give us a huge piece of that puzzle." RE: Holly Bobo, 20, Tenn. kidnapped - Lady Cop - 04-26-2011 the fact is there is no timeline that we know of. the brother says he saw her in early morning. but we don't know whether he did or not. anyone see her the night before? anyone in the family take a poly? why hasn't LE ruled anyone out? the whole thing smells. LE knows the timeline. we don't know diddly-squat. and there have been about 4 different reports of her phone being found. none of which have been confirmed. read my comments in post # 105 for more fish smell. RE: Holly Bobo, 20, Tenn. kidnapped - Lady Cop - 04-26-2011 as i said, scaling back. the weather is a handy reason. JacksonSun Law enforcement officials are asking volunteers to hold off in their search for Holly Bobo until a severe weather system leaves the area this week. Volunteers are being asked to return to Decatur County Thursday if the 20-year-old missing nursing student is not found by then. Severe storms expected to be in the area today and tomorrow will keep volunteers from looking for Bobo. "We don't want to put (the volunteers) at risk," said Tennessee Highway Patrol Lt. Brad Wilbanks, "Law enforcement will still be around to respond to anything we find as it comes up." Around 70 volunteers spent Monday searching around the northern area of Decatur County. Monday's efforts included around 30 emergency personnel from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, THP, Decatur County Sheriff's Office, state and local Emergency Management Agency, and local fire and rescue squads. The number of volunteers involved will likely scale back later this week. Volunteer headquarters may also move from the Decatur County Fairgrounds to the Emergency Operations Center in Parsons. It'll be up to the TBI to determine what direction the search heads in later this week, he said. The Bureau is still actively seeking information from anyone in the community or region that will bring them closer to finding Holly Bobo, or the person responsible for her disappearance. (AP) - The investigation into the abduction of a nursing student has narrowed its focus but no one is yet being identified as a suspect. Tennessee Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Kristin Helm said the agency is in the process of identifying people of interest in the disappearance of 20-year-old Holly Bobo. Helm said many possibilities have been ruled out. The focus of the investigation and search is still on the area surrounding the small community of Darden, where Bobo lived with her parents and brother. The agency has analyzed a small amount of blood that was found outside the home, but Helm said they are not releasing the results to the public. Bobo was last seen on April 13 being led away from her home by a man wearing camouflage. http://www.newschannel5.com/story/14517731/investigation-narrowed-in-nursing-student-search RE: Holly Bobo, 20, Tenn. kidnapped - JsMom - 04-26-2011 (04-26-2011, 03:45 PM)Adub Wrote:(04-26-2011, 03:37 PM)JsMom Wrote: This has nothing to do with the Holly Bobo case.
