President Donald Trump once said he got $17 million in a hurricane damage insurance payout for his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, but an Associated Press investigation couldn't find much evidence of the supposed damage.

On Saturday, Fahrenthold reported a story of a 1996 Manhattan ribbon-cutting ceremony for a charity called the Association to Benefit Children. The association was celebrating the grand opening of a nursery school that would serve children with AIDS. According to the Post, Trump unexpectedly appeared at the event and took a seat on the dais alongside top donors such as then-Mayor Rudy Giuliani and former mayor David Dinkins. The seat he took was saved for Steven Fisher, a developer who had donated a hefty sum to help the charity build the nursery.
“Nobody knew he was coming,” Abigail Disney, another donor sitting on the dais, told the Post. “There’s this kind of ruckus at the door, and I don’t know what was going on, and in comes Donald Trump. [He] just gets up on the podium and sits down.” Trump had never donated to the charity.
By the time Trump took Fisher’s chair, the event was already underway and it was too late to correct the seating chart. According to the Post, “Once he was onstage, Trump played the part of a big donor convincingly. Photos from the event show Trump smiling, right behind Giuliani, as the mayor cut the ribbon.” Trump later performed the macarena with Giuliani, Kathie Lee Gifford, and crowd of children, and then slipped out of the function without donating.
The next day, Gretchen Buchenholz, the executive director of the Association to Benefit Children, sent Fisher an email apologizing for Trump’s seat-jack. “I am just heartsick,” she wrote. “I immediately said ‘no,’ but Rudy Giuliani said ‘yes’ and I felt I had to accede to him. I hope you can forgive me.” Buchenholz told the Post that Fisher remained a donor despite Trump’s actions.

I've noticed that the TDS people cannot get enough people involved in putting Trump down and bitching about him that they are now getting pissed that nobody else is doing the same flameout. They are actually getting pissed that nobody else is freaking out like they (the minority) are. It's like me saying that if you do not like pickle ice cream you should be shot.
This is the heads exploding thing I said would happen when Trump won the election. Oh well. I don't mean specifically this forum but all over the place it's in the papers and television news. The violence will continue as they become more frantic with more imagined demons. The hatred for others is like smoke in the air and all you need to be an enemy is a different political leaning, it soon will not matter what kind of person you are. The left is equating challenging a black man for his failures in his own district as being racist. Challenging any black, asian, latino for their work or non work is not racist. Trump has done the same for white people, he does not see skin. He just calls it as he sees it, absolutely nothing wrong with that. Baltimore is run by Democrats so is NY, so is Boston and so is California. Using the taxpayer as a bank for failed policy's should be a crime yet Baltimore has not shown any signs that they are willing to face the problems with a reality based policy. Stop the race based ideology and look at the problem with some semblance of leadership. Pick at the bad community at the edges and work your way in to the center. Stop paying out welfare that just becomes a vicious circle and clean up from the outside in that is if the people living there are willing to try. I say give them a chance but I fear that very few in that section are willing to change. Accept that if thats the case, try another solution. This is what Dems do they tax, throw money at a situation then walk away thinking they solved a problem, they suck it happens all the time. Not that some of the pubs don't do the same thing. Lazy leadership comes in all colors and politics. Especially the ones that has a shitter in the shape of their ass in Washington.
I say grow a set of Balls Cummings and get home and fix your stupid shit before the national guard has to go in.
Baltimore needs a younger person in there that has fresh ideas and is not afraid to face flack because nobody likes change. Someone with a set of gonads to face their own party even to get the job done. Ain't gonna happen though.

Why Does No One Care That Trump Is Lying About Elijah Cummings’ District?
If you wanted to rank congressional districts by markers that might suggest they are the “worst” there are people who do that. Take this list of districts by median household income. (NY-15 is dead last, with a median income less than half that of MD-7.)
There are rankings for districts by life expectancy (last is Kentucky’s 5th district) and educational attainment (last is Texas’ 29th district).
My point is that to believe that Maryland’s 7th district is “the worst” you have to know basically nothing about American life. Because not only is it not “technically” the “worst,” it’s not even close. By every conceivable measure, MD-7 is on the high side of average.
Does it matter that the president of the United States doesn’t know any of this?
Does it matter that he’s lying when he says that other people agree with his incorrect opinion?
Does it matter that the man who two weeks ago said that people who are critical of America ought to go back to where they came from is now lying about America in an attempt to criticize it?
