One of the suckiest things in the world is to have to get out of your nice warm bed, dress in layers of clothing and dig your car out of the snow to get to work. I don't think I'd be able to keep a morning job if I lived up north. I'd rather be a bum and sleep cozy in my card board box and snuggled up in my wool blanket until noon.

I hate rain but it's freaking dry as burnt toast here. I wish the skies would just open up and pour for about 2 days and then be done with it for a while.
Everything is brown. No rain, no pretty green hills to admire.

I would think either would be just as miserable to deal with.
They changed our snow totals from 8" to 12" now, and the temp on Monday is going to be a balmy -13 for the HIGH, with wind chills of -40 to -60. I will be one of those people that Sally was talking about..out at 5am shoveling my car out of a mountain of snow.

We're getting another big storm, supposedly. They have issued a level 3 snow emergency which means no one is allowed on the roads unless they are emergency vehicles. I guess they aren't concerned with the amount of snow (6-10") but the fact that it's coming in so fast.

I hate weather extremes. My mom has a place in Palm Springs and I won't visit there in the summer. It's so hot, I can't breathe.
Fuck the freezing cold too. I don't mind brief visits to snowy areas but I wouldn't want to live there. Fuck rain and most of Oregon too.

My car's thermometer read as high as 102F during the summer of 2012.
This morning, it read -23F.
My guess is there aren't too many places on earth you can live that can have a 125F variance.
