John McCain, Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney all strike me as perfectly sane individuals (who I agree with on some issues and disagree with on others).
I don't believe I stated they weren't sane. In fact I asked user to give examples of why SHE thinks they are sane.
I see them as blind, party loyalists. Good little GOP soldiers.
I do believe it is disingenuous to vigorously campaign against a candidate . . . versus pledging support for one . . . and then state they will support the offensive nominee.
That's not an example of compromise . . . it's an example of pandering to the voters . . . AGAIN.
I will not blindly support my candidate, if he wins the Oval Office.
I would criticize any policy or position I believe is contrary to individual or national interest.
I would hope you would do the same with your candidate, too.
I'm not a sheep.

Anyway, I don't have a candidate yet.
I'm still hoping to have a choice between what I consider reasonable candidates in the general election. For me, neither Trump nor Cruz are reasonable candidates. Kasich would be most preferable to me on the Republican side, followed by Rubio.

Yeah, me too.
If the gun manufacturer makes a faulty product and it results in injury or death, then the manufacturer should be held liable.
If the gun manufacturer directly transfers its products to individuals who are not eligible to own, possess, or distribute them by law, then the gun manufacturer should be held liable for its actions.
But, if an individual gets a hold of a gun and uses it to shoot himself or others, I don't think the manufacturer should he held liable any more than I think an automobile manufacturer should be held liable when a drunk driver or nutjob injures or kills someone with an automobile.
I think Bernie was right in calling Hillary out as essentially trying to rid America of guns and gun manufacturers by holding them responsible for something they're not (she told him he sounded like the NRA). But, Bernie really stumbled in his wording and effectiveness, in my opinion. Had I not already known his general stance, I wouldn't have gotten his point during the debate.

I found some random article (link follows) that stated back in September:
A CBS News poll reported by the New York Times found that 84 percent of Americans believe money has too much influence in political campaigns....
It went on to say that Republicans voted unanimously against some fairly simple amendment that basically would have overturned/reformed Citizen's United.

Anyway, Trump, Clinton and Sanders have all talked about campaign finance reform with Trump and Sanders being the only two who have no affiliated SuperPacs.
Sanders....if he weren't so left of left, I might actually believe he'd make an effort. Clinton has made some claims about reform and also made some statements that seemed to indicate that her commitment to the issue is less than firm and she may well do little or nothing about it (like Obama).
Trump????? Like everything else associated with his campaign, he's promising reform and says the system is "bad". However, like everything else, he just sort of says he's going to fix it without offering up any real plans about how he hopes to accomplish that.
I think it's a fantasy on my part....like Charlie, Lucy and the football. I don't know if I'll even bother voting this election.

Trump not caring what the republicans or the democrats say only reinforces my belief that he could change Washington and is another reason why the career politicians are going crazy. Bernie and Hillary are promising the moon. I know that Trumps wall is not a reality but enforcing immigration already on the books is a reality. That's a start and he may be able to put Washington's books in order. That's what I want to see. Maybe he can get them to follow the same rules dictated to us but that's a bit far fetched after all, they are Americas royalty.

A lot of people look at Trump and see just his image. They see how he doesn't stand behind his boasts a week later, and say he doesn't stand for anything. Honestly Trump is simply a cocky leader who realized long ago that his image can get him things. His companies often fail because many have no substance beyond his name. I don't know if he looks at the American presidency as the same game. Does he think America can win by name alone with no substance? Maybe. Personally I believe he takes it more seriously. Running for president may be a game to him - a slap in the face of common politics - but if he actually wins, I don't think he'll be the careless braggart that ran for president.
I think we all need to take a step back and realize presidents aren't all they're cracked up to be. Obama didn't change the world the way he promised. Trump sure as shit can't build a wall by himself. Doesn't mean I'd vote for the guy, but the real problem people have with him is that he just doesn't seem dignified enough to be President. He's reality-tv, not the American ideal. I just can't believe he's half the idiot people make him out to be. I think he'd listen to his advisers, make appearances the way leaders do, and business would continue as usual. I think he's trying to change politics... not government.

I'm amazed that the Donald has continued on with his campaign. As I truly believed that he would have dropped out of the race by now. Because he was/is too full of himself to take on the demanding responsibilities of POTUS! Guess not.
Maybe he started off the race as a whim, thinking he would just get things going according to his beliefs, but now seeing his ratings lead, he's now going for the Gold Ring!

I don't like him and as you've already seen me say, I don't think he is suitable presidential material, his demeanor sucks ass. He's like a huge fart at a formal dinner. He is a hate monger because he incites people to hate anyone who disagrees with him/them. Intolerance of other viewpoints comes to mind. His hate is not limited to ethnic groups, race, religion, gender, etc...again it is anything that conflicts with what he says.......and what he says changes from minute to minute cuz he can't keep track of all the shit he spews........He is a piece of shit. You like him if you must but don't try to justify reasons to me.....there simply aren't any justifications for liking this guy. The End.
