this will get interesting, as i predicted. i am told one defendant wants to go to trial and one wants to plead out. i do not have proof of this. BUT...if one wants to plead that means he has to roll over on the other and will have to testify. he will have to allocute and tell the story. and i think more than one person will go down.

In such cases, allocution is intended to provide closure for victims or their families by removing any doubt as to the exact nature of the defendant's guilt in the crime.

I noticed that Pettaway's attorneys are hitting hard for reduced charges. They want the aggravated taken out of the murder. Life instead of death.

Good argument presented by the defense attorneys in the public documents. 41 pages concerning racial discrimination and the death penalty78 With a good dose of "cruel and unusual" punishment thrown in.

Also, Pettaway's judge has given the go-ahead for the DNA to be tested with a "neutral" lab of both parties choosing.

Williams wants his in-custody statements to be inadmissable. DNA still to be decided.

barring another arrest in the case, i think you will see a slowing of this thread/story. because one trial isn't scheduled until May and both may end up pleading out. if that happens, the case will fade away with the defendants. HibyePrison

gotcha. my point was going to be that just because someone has a digital scale and bags lying around doesnt mean they sold drugs. for example you could go up in my room right now and you'd find a scale. you'd also find a few baggies. never sold drugs in my life. just a smoker who ended up buying a scale to make sure a-holes dont try and short me. now if were talking about a fresh box full of baggies then ya it's much more plausible, but of course all we know is "baggies". dumb media.

i don't disagree with your point that drugs are a possible motive. but there's a lot of different scenarios, drug related ones, that could have led to this. maybe pills? maybe weed? or maybe nothing even related to johnny possibly dealing drugs. it seems too vicious to be over drugs, but people do crazy fucked up shit. there's a little something in the back of my mind that makes me think it was more for some type of revenge. all these circumstances just make you think.
