WOULD YOU GET INVOLVED? - Duchess - 07-02-2013

If you witnessed a crime are you going to hangout until the police arrive so you can be locked into a statement or are you leaving the scene? Would you get involved if you had a choice?

RE: WOULD YOU GET INVOLVED? - BlueTiki - 07-02-2013

A week ago Friday, I witnessed a car accident involving an elderly woman and a young Asian girl.

Elderly woman was proceeding through the intersection when Asian girl make a left in front of her. Bitch was texting. I was in the left turning lane facing the chink and parallel with granny.

I stayed . . . for over an hour.

I was the only one who stopped.

BTW - Fucking little chink bitch tried to lie and say she wasn't texting and granny ran a red!

Done that a lot of times, car wrecks, assaults, robberies, drunk bitches in the road etc..

Good for you Tiki.

I would stay. It's the right thing to do. If more people did the right thing, this works round be a better place.

I would stay. My conscience wouldn't let me leave. I hate arguing with my conscience.

If I saw something I would always stay behind and make a statement like the post above my conscience wouldn't allow my legs to move to leave the scene.

Duchess' real question, I believe, was would you stick around if a 'crime' were being committed?

A traffic accident definitely needs eyewitnesses, but criminal activity is something beyond that. Something like that may call in to question how much someone really wants to be involved, obviously depending on the nature of the crime.

Well, Mr. Semantics . . . then I suggest you answer the question in the first person.

If I witnessed a crime I would stay to give a statement. I might be scared depending on the circumstances, but I would still stay. If we as a society don't stand up and get involved, the bad guys continue to get away. I'm not saying it wouldn't be difficult. Especially if it was a violent crime. But again. People need to get involved. Stand up for ourselves and put these criminals away.

But do NOT follow the kid in the hoodie with skittles and iced tea. It won't end well.

For me it would depend on the nature of the crime.

It depends on the crime.

A crime of violence or theft or abuse of another person of any kind? Yeah, I'm staying and assisting in any way possible.

On the other hand, if I'm doing an assessment with a senior on the front steps and she wants to call the cops because we see the hippie dude across the street loading a bunch of pot plants into the back of his truck, I'm taking a hike. (That happened a couple of years ago.)

RE: WOULD YOU GET INVOLVED? - ramseycat - 07-02-2013

HOTD would take a hike after oh so causally snagging a plant.

Whatever anybody else has done sixfootersex has been there done that and got the motherfucking t-shirt y'all.

RE: WOULD YOU GET INVOLVED? - sally - 07-04-2013

It depends on the crime. Unless someone is getting hurt, I normally just like to mind my own business.

RE: WOULD YOU GET INVOLVED? - Cynical Ninja - 07-05-2013

Sals participation would depend on how many beers she had chugged.

Beer number one? I don't know what's going on.

Beer number four? Officer please come and knock on my door.

RE: WOULD YOU GET INVOLVED? - username - 07-05-2013

Yeah, I'll always stay and give a witness statement. I've done it a few times.

RE: WOULD YOU GET INVOLVED? - sally - 07-05-2013

If I see someone stuffing a package of steaks down their pants at the grocery store, im not going to play hero and report it to the manager. I dont have time for that shit.

RE: WOULD YOU GET INVOLVED? - Duchess - 07-05-2013

I don't know if I would get involved. I don't think so. Smiley_emoticons_slash
