Does anyone in here venture out to shop on that day?
I don't do it because I think the people are crazy & it's been my experience that most things advertised can be purchased online on Thanksgiving Day.
I've never wanted any material thing so bad that I've been willing to camp out overnight in order to get it.

My Sister In Law and her hubby do every year, and generally are buying something that they've searched for in advance.
They're very happy doing it.

A few years ago I got on a mailing list for Black Friday ads and they've begun to arrive so that's what inspired this thread. You couldn't get me out there for love or money, I'm perfectly happy to do my BF shopping early Thanksgiving morning in my pj's from the privacy of my home office. ThankYouVeryMuch.

No, I hate getting up in the morning as it is. Much less camp out at Walmart and be stampeded by a bunch of fucking losers after a 10 dollar DVD player. Not my cup of tea.

I drive my son to school at 7 am and there are times I'm laying in bed an think to myself "fuck it, he has a B in algebra and can afford to miss first period, I'm going back to sleep." Do you really think I'm going to get up for black Friday.
