Who's trying to censor/ban the song? Haven't seen anything about the yo-yos.
A couple of years ago, I saw something about a radio industry council asking stations to ban it in Canada because a female member of the LGBT community complained. I think stations there ignored the request and just kept playing the original.
Anyway, if the stations had to take out "little faggot', my vote to replace it would be "lazy fucker" or "lucky fucker". Similar intended meanings, in context.
(Frank Zappa would have had some fun with the new wave of would-be censors)

Gay people, like straight people, come in all kinds of temperaments. I used to work and associate in towns with large gay populations and I remember one guy in particular who did that whole flamboyant over-the-top gay thing. He would actually embarass the normal gay people who came in. A gay buddy of mine said it was pretty common for gay people who had issues with their sexuality to go overboard like that, basically making gayness their entire personality. Kind of overcompensating. Made sense to me...

Re: censorship, I don't think it's a set rule what to cut out, it's station preference. Clearchannel is conservative as hell but some stations have different standards. That stupid Robin Thicke "blurred lines" song gets multi-format play here and it's always interesting to hear what different stations will cut out. One "white people" work friendly easy listening station potted down all the baselines and "urban" sounds and cut the line "what rhymes with hug me".
So you can't even HINT at ess-eee-ecks to suburban white people radio.

They don't censor it in my area and I live in one of the most conservative parts of the country. Christ...we're the only state left that can't buy beer on Sundays.
I've never heard of it being censored anywhere until this thread.

Bah. The dreaded blue law. We had that here up until a few years ago. You either bought Sunday's booze on Saturday night or you went into one of the neighboring states to get it on Sunday.
