I have a friend that has one. I would go with the sound bar if I cared enough to spend the money.

I don't know what a sound bar is. I have speakers in the ceiling all through the house that my husband installed and they work good and don't take up any room obviously.

Sound bar is just a single long skinny box that goes with the flat screen, instead of speakers all over the place.
SOme of them sound pretty good, The BOSE stuff always rocks. I use the Bose Acustimass system, scary.
I allso have a killer THX system on the computer, it shakes the room.
