- MyBallsOnYourChin - 03-10-2009 any good horror films to watch ?the last few i've seen sucked - The Antagonist - 03-10-2009 What ones are "the last few" you have seen? No point in giving you suggestions on stuff you've seen already. - MyBallsOnYourChin - 03-10-2009 Friday the 13th remake....so wanted that to be good Mirrors............crap - The Antagonist - 03-10-2009 Not much good horror out there. Been YEARS since a good one came out to tell the truth. The only good one so far has been Cloverfield. If you haven't seen that one, go for it. - Mr. Incivility - 03-10-2009 The Saw series pretty much sucks. The first Saw was pretty original, had plenty of gore and suspense. The rest of it, well, it sucked donkey nuts. Rob Zombie's original stuff was pretty good from a horror aspect. But then he had to go and try to remake Halloween! Leave well enough alone! I reccomend 'Slumber Party Massacre', in this day and age where everyone is switching from the phone company to cable or whatever. Beware of the Installation Technician. - QueenBee - 03-11-2009 Slight OT here..but didn't I hear something a few months back that they were making a new Nightmare on Elm Street movie? I think Billy Bob Thornton was set to be Freddy. - MyBallsOnYourChin - 03-11-2009 Billy Bob Thornton was set to be Freddy ? lol - Fry Guy - 03-12-2009 The Antagonist Wrote:Not much good horror out there. There is potential here for Box office scary. - QueenBee - 03-12-2009 English-Cunt Wrote:Billy Bob Thornton was set to be Freddy ?Thatst I heard..but have not read anything since, except that Wes Craven is not happy with the thought of a remake and that production ill start next month. I do not think he liked the idea of anyone but whats-his-name playing Freddy. - Cynical Ninja - 03-12-2009 English-Cunt wrote: Quote:Billy Bob Thornton was set to be Freddy ? That's fucking laughable, a remake without Robert Englund playing Freddy would be a travesty. Freddy is not a faceless killing machine like Jason Voorhees or Michael Myers, he is a proper character with a personality. - The Antagonist - 03-12-2009 Most remakes are crap. Wes Craven has every right to be pissed. You don't mess with perfection and when you get a character who plays a role perfectly, who it seems to have been made for, you don't fuck with it. I can't think of any horror movies that were remade that I enjoyed off hand. I'd have to give a long hard think on that to actually see if there were any. - Cynical Ninja - 03-12-2009 The Antagonist wrote: Quote:Most remakes are crap. All the horror remakes I can think of have been totally shit. Whether its the recent "re-imaginings" of Halloween and Friday the 13th (I hate re-imaginings, why don't they just imagine something original instead?) or other hideous remakes like Psycho and the haunting, they all suck. - sally - 03-12-2009 I thought the remake of the Hills have eyes was good. - The Antagonist - 03-12-2009 sally Wrote:I thought the remake of the Hills have eyes was good. that one was so bad i fell asleep in the first 20 minutes. OP is right. They all suck. Leave well enough alone. Remakes are for the unimaginative. Those who cannot come up with a creative thought leech off the ideas of others. - Cynical Ninja - 03-12-2009 The Antagonist wrote: Quote:sally Wrote:I thought the remake of the Hills have eyes was good. I am always surprised how modern film makers can take someone elses idea and turn into something far, far worse than that original idea. How you ever seen the Tim Burton remake of Planet of the apes?, I mean, what the fuck? And the remake of the Texas chainsaw massacre?, the original film was an almost perfect horror film, unrelenting, sadistic and suspenseful, the remake was completely free of suspense and thrills. - Sinister - 03-12-2009 The Antagonist Wrote:Remakes are for the unimaginative.
