I used to like getting drunk in college but as I got older I began having these self control issues and I no longer found it appealing. I probably need a shrink in regards to that, logically I know it's perfectly fine to cut loose and even lose my temper sometimes but the thought of "losing it" freaks me the hell out, I feel like I can never lose my composure, if I do I will have failed myself. I know that's irrational.

I was always a happy, mellow drunk for the most part. I never understood those who got angry or belligerent when fucked up, and if that happened, you can bet I wouldn't be partying with them again.

That's why I don't smoke pot, I can't think straight and I don't like that at all. Alcohol doesn't have that effect on me unless I drink a whole lot, but I'm ok with just a few or 12 beers.

I never have a problem with weed, it doesn't make me lazy and I only rarely get the munchies. I don't work or drive high, ever.

I quit smoking weed 5 years ago when I got my permit to carry. If I kill someone and have pot in my system it will not be good for me. I would not only get burned for what would then be considered a murder, I would also get it for possession of a controlled substance while also in possession of a firearm. That double possession charge would tack on a additional 5 years. I enjoyed pot but it's not worth the risk to me.
