DRONES - Duchess - 07-14-2019

Does anyone in here have a drone?

RE: DRONES - Carsman - 07-14-2019

Pretty sure recollect SIX saying he had one, but he has not been here for a while.

RE: DRONES - Duchess - 07-14-2019

Six got married and moved back to Texas and sometimes I got the impression he didn't care for all the trump push back given he's a fan. Whatever the reason, he's missed. He was fun & interesting.

I want one. Keep your blinds open.

RE: DRONES - Duchess - 07-15-2019

I want one too and I'm wishin' I could try before I buy or at least talk to someone who owns one.

RE: DRONES - BigMark - 07-15-2019

They have one that will automatically follow you, and come back to launch site if they lose contact.

RE: DRONES - sally - 07-15-2019

I bought one of those cheap ones for my son for Christmas one year. It took off and we never seen it again. That was four hundred dollars well spent.

RE: DRONES - Duchess - 07-15-2019

Aww shit balls. I better take that into consideration too. If I had $400-500 fly away never to be seen again I would be jumping around like Yosemite Sam. I'd be pissed for sure.

Ooohhhh I like the sound of that!

I'll do a little research between now & Christmas and see what I can come up with.

That was one I bought from Best Buy years ago. I'm sure they have way better ones by now.

RE: DRONES - Jimbone - 07-16-2019

I've got one. It's awesome!

It will fly back if something goes wrong, and it has a bunch of different modes where it can follow, orbit around an object, etc.

Easy to fly. You'd love it.

hah   I love that aspect!

I was watching video of a guy who had a bees nest up high on his home. The drone hovered around the nest and as the bees left the nest to defend their home the rotors chopped them up! Ahahaha. It actually freakin' worked to get rid of the bees. That's not what I want it for of course but I was pretty amazed at how easy it was to control the device. I'm only interested in having some fun with it. I don't want to spend a lot but I don't want the cheapest one either. This is probably one of those things that you get what you pay for.

It is annoying when watching a firework show and you see a little drone light up above taking pictures. Totally distracting. It is like being at an event or the zoo and you can barely see past these big square objects everyone is holding up.

That being said-I am totally jealous of the pics that people are getting with them though! Smiley_emoticons_biggrin

I kind of want a dash cam or go-pro before I get a drone.

Just don't use a drone in a national forest or park!
