Mohammed Ali Sajet ^ – an ISIS member who is related to Baghdadi by marriage – is said to have provided the Americans with key info after being arrested in Iraq two months ago.
The jihadi sidekick – appearing in a bright yellow jumpsuit from a detention centre – told al-Arabiyah how militants left treasure buried in the desert.
The terror group at one stage controlled vast swathes of land, including crucial oil fields and major cities. At its peak, ISIS generated billions of dollars from a combination of oil, taxes, stolen artefacts, foreign donations, and looting.
Questions have been asked about what happened to all the dosh after the “Caliphate” fell. Sajet said he and other top jihadis buried £20million of gold, silver and cash in the desert to come back for it later.
But he said a large chunk of what they stashed was stumbled upon by local shepherds who made off with the loot. I don't know whether his story about the loot being stolen by shepherds is true, but I hope it is.

I have to take the humor where I can. I don't like being mad all the time. Every friggin' time his complete incompetence is on view I am pissed. He's a friggin embarrassment. I also take some joy in knowing he's an international laughingstock. I can hardly wait to see what's said about him by world leaders after he leaves office. You just know it's going to be incredible and even worse than what we might imagine.
