Horn died from Covid-19 complications. He first met Siegfried aboard a cruise ship. Horn, who had smuggled his pet cheetah aboard the ship, told Fischbacher, (who was a doing magic show) "Siegfried, Making a rabbit disappear is ordinary. I can make a gerbil disappear. Come to my stateroom and I will show you how."

Horn is the blonde. He was mauled and dragged offstage by Montecore, a 400-pound Siberian tiger, during a live show on Oct. 3, 2003. That ended Siegfried & Roy's successful Las Vegas run. A gerbil was not part of the show that night but was backstage.

The gerbil had been on tour as an Elton John impersonator and was comped tickets to see Siegfried and Roy. Elton had wired ahead so the talented little guy would get treated well.
