Do you find joy in cooking? Is it fun for you?

Buying prepared food isn't a very healthy choice so I really do try not to go that route, but man, I fucking detest cooking.

It helps if someone else cleans the mess.

I ALWAYS offer to do cleanup if someone else will cook.

I make a lot of soups. Throw it all in a pot, cook it and done. Good way to use up vegetables.

If I lived by myself and didn't have to cook for anyone I would live off of veggie wraps. I buy the sprouted grain and flax seed spinach wraps and chop up a bunch of fresh veggies and add tuna fish or sliced boiled eggs for protein and olives and avacado for healthy fat and I'm good. A complete balanced easy meal.

I've done that. Weirdly, I don't ever mind making something if it will last for days, I'll do anything, ANYTHING, to get out of cooking.

I made some badass soup tonight, chicken stock, celery, leftover boiled new potatoes, carrots, black beans, cabbage, small handful of rice , onion powder, garlic powder, kosher salt, pepper, cayenne. Boiled that for a while then added cut up chicken breast. SMACK YO MAMMA GOOD!

I can't imagine being a someone who cooks for others every day and having your family not appreciate the hard work it takes to feed the ungrateful mouths.

RE: UGH. I'D RATHER DIG A DITCH - Duchess - 02-10-2021

I'm always ridiculously grateful to anyone who cooks for me.

How grateful? (whistles)

Cooking is fun.  Washing the dishes afterwards is not.   Thankfully someone invented a dishwasher.

They didn't invent it, he just walked across the border.

What border? Dick Washer, the sweet old man with a lisp lived in Urinetown USA. Fascinating dickumentary on how the man who washed men's dicks came to wash dishes.

Border Collies are smarter.
