I was always careful because I never wanted to have to make this sort of decision.

And it wasn't an issue when I was married because he had a vasectomy and we never discussed reversing it. But I would have loved to have a child if I was in a loving supportive relationship.

I wouldn't want to bring a child into this world. It's hell hole, and it's going to get worse before it gets better -- which may never happen.

Makes me think of this song, which I totally relate to...

I pretty much feel that way right now also. But then I see some beautiful people raising some beautiful families including the people I work with and I know there are some wonderful pockets in this world.
I never give up hope.

I agree, but they seem few and far between. And no, we should never give up. You never for sure what tomorrow will bring.

How do you know that's a real person?

RE: ABORTION IN THE UNITED STATES - Duchess - 07-08-2022

Actually, I asked myself if that even mattered given it's a real thing that can happen.

True enough, but still...

I want everyone to see stories like that, particularly those who view abortions as women using them as a method of birth control. Many babies that are deeply loved & wanted are aborted for a variety of reasons.

I don't know why they can't just have common sense laws, is it really that fucking hard. There should be exceptions for severe fetal anomaly.

There is, this is just a pearl clutching party.

Being upset & angry over losing the right to make their own healthcare decisions is not a fucking pearl clutching party. What the fuck, maggot. Pearl clutching. Kiss my fat ass.

OK how bout "much ado about nothing"

RE: ABORTION IN THE UNITED STATES - sally - 07-08-2022

If you find out at 25 weeks that the baby has trisomy 18 for example then I think there should be an exception. I'm reading that there isn't in some states. That's bullshit and not much ado about nothing. Not everyone wants to bring a severely deformed and sick child with no quality of life into the world. Even animals will kill their offspring if they have little chance of survival.

Lets regulate sperm.

Isn't it already regulated somewhat through sperm banks/spank banks/wank banks?

Recently, a 10 year old in Ohio was taken out of state to Indiana in order to get that pregnancy aborted. Her state was going to force her to have a child of rape, force her! These same states say "how dare you make these kids wear masks, they'll be traumatized", yet, force child rape victims to go through a pregnancy. Goddamn this bullshit makes me nuts.

Anyone who is pregnant in a state where abortion has been banned has no right to their medical information being private.

I will explain my stance on this a little latter to clarify things a bit.
