God no. I have one that I hide on the porch for when my husband goes out there and smokes pot, but I would never have a filthy ashtray in my house. Back in the 80s my parents used to have ashtrays on these decorative pedestals next to the couch. So weird.

I dont ask guests to take off their shoes, but I'd prefer if the people that live with me did. They refuse to follow that rule though, they just walk in with their dirty shoes on.
