Business question for Cars - Maggot - 05-17-2022

Say I sell something for 8.26 how much would I need it at buy it at to make say 30% profit. I know the answer and just wondering if you or anyone else knew to make me look like a business God.

5.79? I have no clue, that hurts my brain which is why I have to hire a tutor to help my daughter with 5th grade math.

You have to multiply 8.26 by .7 to get 30%

Yes and since she's homeschooled I can help her with anything except the math. I don't remember doing that shit. My friend who is a teacher comes over and tutors her in return for weed.

if X is the purchase price

X + .3X = 8.26

1.3 X = 8.26

X = 8.26 / 1.3

X = 6.354 per unit

your premise is too simplistic, it doesn't take into account: overhead, labor and taxes to name a few. that is a more serious question and one not answered so easily.
