The cost of living. - Piglet - 07-25-2022 In my local supermarket a leg of lamb costs thirty quid, or in your money, about 50 dollars or so, scandalous. There are empty shelves everywhere. Costs creep up constantly. It seems to me something very bad is coming, that a bad recession is coming, maybe worse. The cost of petrol is high, gas, electric...... all because of one bloke. RE: The cost of living. - cannongal - 07-25-2022 The COL has been rising steadily for years. Inflation and the COL are not the same thing (at least in my head). To me the 'cost of living ' is tied into population- the more people who need housing and food, the higher the cost of living is. Inflation is tied into corporate greed. - Corporations make people dependent on their products, then raise the prices of those products. MEH! |
