No, narcissists often hide their true selves from the people closest to them. You dont have to be a full on narcissist to have narcissistic traits, I have them.

I have read the research on mental health, good mental health not bad, and the news is that save for about one to two percent were all mentally unwell. They move through mental states quickly and adjust almost immediately to every difficult situation. They communicate openly and accept justified criticism.

Being with them is like being in a circus, good things are always happening, chatter, fun, etc. Girlboss exhibits some of that. So to put yourself down because you dont measure up is a waste of time, we all come up short.
