I left the key in my ignition
battery died
took the key out
will it start in the morning?
I have jumper cables.
I'll find someone in the morning to give me a jump.

I didn't even try to start it in the morning
my neighbor just showed up w/ jumper cables at 7 in the morning
I love this place
then the other neighbor came out to see what was going on.
It runs just fine now.

The year was 1987, and my sister was 2 months away from her wedding date. I was her slave at the time, and driving a 1981 chevy chevette.
I was overwhelmed, and picking up something she wanted, when I shut my car off in drive, bought her shit). My first car, and being a new driver, didn't realize that it wouldn't start in 'drive'. That particular lesson was expensive. Glad your lesson was cheaper.
